The short version. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no
trackers or advertising of any kind. Reading this page collects nothing about you. The only
information we hold is what you choose to send in an enquiry, and we hold it to reply to you.
What we collect
Only when you submit the enquiry form. Browsing the site collects nothing.
- What you type: the domain you are asking about, your email address, and the budget range you pick.
- What our server records alongside it: your IP address, your browser's user agent and language preference, the page that referred you, and the time of the enquiry.
- What your browser reports alongside it: device platform, screen and window size, pixel ratio, touch support, language, and timezone.
Why we collect it
- To answer you. That is the entire purpose of the form.
- To keep spam out. We use the submission and its technical details to detect and block automated and abusive traffic.
Who else is involved
- Hosting. The site runs on a server in Germany.
- Email. Enquiries reach us as email, so our email provider handles the message in transit and in storage.
- Domain registries. When you enter a domain, our server asks the official registry whether it is registered. Only the domain name is sent. Your IP address and your details are never sent to the registry, because the request comes from our server rather than from your browser.
- Fonts and assets. Everything the page loads is served from this site. No request goes to a font service, a CDN, or any other third party.
How long we keep it
- Web server access logs: 14 days, then deleted automatically.
- Enquiry emails: kept while we are dealing with your enquiry and for up to a year afterwards, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
- Abuse prevention: your IP address is held in memory for one hour and never written to disk.
- Registry lookups: cached for six hours, and contain domain names only, never anything about you.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
Reply to any email we have sent you, or submit the enquiry form on the home page saying what you
want, and we will act on it. You do not have to give a reason.
If you would rather not send device details, note that they are only ever transmitted when you
submit the form. Nothing is gathered before then, so leaving the page sends us nothing at all.
Changes
If anything here changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
